Emmet doing better

Emmet is off of the c-pap breathing machine and will probably be taken off the high oxygen nasal tube  today. He is a bit jaundiced, so he has to lay under the bili light. Emmet braucht die Atmungsmaschine nicht mehr und wird heute wahrscheinlich die Nasetube auch nicht mehr brauchen. Er hat einbisschen Gelbsucht leider, und muss jetzt under einen besonderen Licht liegen, die die Schadstoffen abbauen die sein Leber noch nicht kann.

Liam is a little narcoleptic and slept through the entire encounter with his brother, who seems much more active and engaged right now. Liam is a bit jaundiced, too, but they tested his bili levels and told me he was not at a level that needed treatment just yet. Since Liam has been so lethargic, and it is affecting his eating and weight gain, I will address this with the doctor hopefully today. Emmet on the other hand, is doing very well with his feeding/digestions (he doesn't have to work for it, like Liam does) and took a bottle of pumped breast milk while I was there. I'm hopeful he'll be able to breastfeed today.
