Traveling

Wilhelm broke his arm mountain biking and had to have surgery to put a metal plate in his wrist to hold it together. He's a quick healer, though, and was working on bikes the day after this photo was taken. He doesn't have clearance from the doctor to work yet, so we decided to take a couple of trips. Laura's ulterior motive was to have extra help holding and changing babies, since Wilhelm is partly out of commission.

It was so hot and the air conditioning is broken, so we slept in only our diapers. It's harder to tell us apart when we are naked.

The frist trip we took was to Ohio to visit Heather and Ryan in Akron. Here, Laura is busy catching up with Heather, so Papa had to handle both babies at once.

Heather with Eli and Tristan. We had a great time visiting, we went to the playground, enjoyed delicious meals (cooked by Heather and Ryan) went to church and lounged around the house. Tristan couldn't get enough playtime with Eli. After he left he kept asking to go back to "Eli House" and expected to see Eli at every rest stop on the way home.

Tristan got to share Eli's bathtime. He wanted so badly to rinse Eli off, but didn't want to let Eli do it to him...

We took a trip down to Pickerington to see Mommy's hometown. Tristan points out the house where Mommy grew up.

We also met up with Shannon and Rylie at Victory Park and went out to eat at the new Max and Erma's and then dessert at Graeters for old time's sake.
We got to meet up with Kaylyn and Eric as well in their very nice condo, but I neglected to take a picture.

Mom and Dad had this little visitor in Ely a few times. This time he didn't manage to get to the bird feeder, but on a later night he managed to empty it and left a stinky present on the deck. Aww and eeew.

We took a bike ride to town a few times. This is Mommy (trying in vain to work off those extra baby pounds.)

Liam and Emmet did ride in the Burley once. The first time, Grandma took them in the car to protect them from mosquitoes. They are terrible this year and everyone is itching and scratching.

Tristan rode in a special seat on the back of Papa's bike. Link to short video.
